Bea Deyo Terrell

Of all the creative things Bea has attempted in the past – pottery, stained glass and fabric art – she fell in love with painting.  After retiring from a career in the telecommunications industry, Bea and her husband Dennis settled here in Ellijay.  She began painting under the talented direction of artist – Gayla Pankey.  Bea found encouragement to experiment in acrylics and oils.  In addition, while living part time in Florida, she studied under two great artists – Patrick Rausch (Oils) and Herchal Stallard (watercolor).  They have helped her loosen her style and experiment with color and technique.

With all of the beauty here in God’s country, Bea enjoys painting landscapes and capturing some of the history of old barns and homesteads.  The added blessing of living part time in Florida gives her inspiration in old Florida and the beauty of coastal living.  She feels she is on a journey in art and is thankful for her husband, Dennis who helps with framing and always a watchful eye toward detail.

Bea is a member of Gilmer Arts and Heritage Association, Palatka Art League and the Arts Council of greater Palatka (Florida).
