Alan Young
We are delighted to have Alan teaching in our studio! He exhibits his pen-and-ink birds of prey through the Southeast. Primarily self-taught, his artistic objective was not realized until age 40. Being color blind, finding his niche was difficult - until the popularity of black & white photography and rapidograph drawing of nature convinced him to give it another try. The effort paid off. With his natural talent and devotion to technical accuracy, Alan is now considered one of the top wildlife artists in the region, often featured in national publications.
Alan plans ongoing classes in watercolor, dry brush and beginning drawing. Come and go as you please. The first session will be February 18th from 10am to noon. Visit our "Classes" page for more information.
