Mary Damiano Mary Clark Damiano was born in Alabama, moving to Kentucky at an early age. Next her family moved to Tennessee, where she grew up, married, and raised three children. Mary has always loved to draw, and after seeing a watercolor exhibit some thirty odd years ago, knew she had to paint in watercolor. She took a watercolor class to learn the basics, and looking around the class, saw all the other students turning out nice paintings, while hers just seemed to run off the paper….and so the journey and the love of watercolor began. Mary and her husband moved from Tennessee to Illinois in 1987. They were there for three years, moving to Snellville, Georgia in 1990. While living in Snellville, she took a pastel class from pastel artist Miki Dillon, and now loves working in pastel or watercolor, whatever the subject matter seems to call for. Mary moved to Ellijay in 1997, and loves living in the mountains. Her children and grandchildren are close by.
