Marvin Lowe

I am originally from New Hampshire, born and raised in the small town of Peterborough in Hillsboro County. I have spent most of my adult life in Poughkeepsie, NY where I worked for IBM from 1969-2005. I held various engineering and engineering management positions in the General Technology Division involved in all aspects of integrated circuits from design to testing. I have two daughters, one still living in the Poughkeepsie, NY area with her husband and 3 children and the other living outside of Austin Texas with her husband. Like I did for most of my life, she works for IBM. I also have a step daughter, originally from Poughkeepsie as well who now lives in Cumming GA with her husband and two children. My wife, Joan who is also from Poughkeepsie, and I have been married for 24 years.

I retired from IBM in the fall of 2005. In 2004 Joan and I purchased a home in Coosawattee River Resort so we could spend more time with family in Cumming. Since retirement we split our time between our home in Poughkeepsie and our home in Ellijay. I had started dabbling with oils when I was young but when the kids came along I seem to have too many other things taki3/7/10n acrylics. I am partial to Americana landscapes from Texas in the spring too New England in winter. In addition to painting I am an avid tennis player, always looking for a good singles match.
